Character Designs for "Mother's Children"
Astraeus Character Sheet
A character sheet displaying one of 3 main characters, Astraeus. I wanted to try out some different expressions on him. His design I've tumbled with for a few years, but the bottom row of little Astraeus shows the final variations of "blob" coat and color schemes. He's equipped with a bioluminescent staff gifted by a mysterious creature.
Astraeus, 2017
The first full render of Astraeus back in 2017. He hasn't changed much it would seem.
Astraeus, but make him angry
Back in 2016, I wanted to draw a fun action pose for Astraeus, so here it is! Adding the different hues of blue and green
Erinyes Charater Sheet
A charater sheet displaying one of 3 main characters, Erinyes. Of all my characters, their name is the one I keep changing the most. To keep things simple, I'm sticking to "Erinyes" in reference to the mythological Greek Furies. This character kickstarted this whole personal project for me back in 2014.
A sampling of monsters in "Mother's Children"
Who doesn't love making monster concepts? We've got geometric moon bull, very tired severed fish, and possessed tree spirit. Good stuff!
The Great Willow
The first creature I designed for this story in 2015! The Great Willow, now wicked and corrupt, guards a particular forest. She is awoken from her slumber when a certain wandering soul chooses to seek shelter within the confines of the petrified tree stump she stems from.
